Gas Gas MC 85 2021-2023 Grade C 46.96mm Race Evolution Piston
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging and undergo heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston passes through rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. Vertex also offers a new Phosphate Coating which increases hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating.
