They are produced using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by a high-tech heat treatment. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and superior adhesion for the Molybdenum Coating, doubling its durability. This piston is Grade A/B and measures 44.96mm.
