Gas Gas MC 125 2021-2023 Grade A 53.94mm Twin Ring Piston
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex silicon-charged aluminium alloys (12%, 18%, or 21% depending on application) via gravity cast or hydraulic forging. The material structure is refined using a hi-tech heat treatment process including solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and reduced friction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed following Formula One engine advancements, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities for Molybdenum Coating, doubling coating durability. This is a Grade A, 53.94mm twin ring piston.
