Cagiva Mito 125 1990-2007 Grade E/F 56.01mm Single Ring Flat Top Piston
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging processes, followed by heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with hot water quenching. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines, software, and diamond tooling to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A newer Phosphate Coating, developed following Formula One engine advancements, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion of the Molybdenum Coating for extended durability. This piston is 56.01mm in diameter with a single ring and a flat top.
