Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex silicon aluminum alloys. They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quenching in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools for specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion of the Molybdenum Coating, doubling its durability. This is a Grade A, 55.96mm twin ring piston.
