Athena 94mm Forged Racing Piston Kit

This Athena forged racing piston kit is designed for Athena Big Bore cylinder kits, offering a 93.94mm bore diameter. Manufactured using reverse extrusion and cutting-edge CNC machining tools, these pistons ensure dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm. They are constructed from a special high-performance aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, providing the reliability of OE pistons with enhanced resistance and excellent performance.

The piston features a perfectly smooth profile for regular flow and optimal flame propagation. Some piston skirts are treated with a molybdenum disulfide coating applied by screen printing to further reduce friction, boosting performance and durability. Engineered in Italy by Athena's R&D department, each piston is rigorously tested on engine dynamometer benches and on track to validate its performance under extreme conditions.

This piston kit includes the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. The piston rings are produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to increase retention and durability, ensuring a perfect adaptation to the cylinder liner even at low tangential load for reduced friction and higher performance.
