Athena utilizes cutting-edge CNC machining tools to achieve dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm, guaranteeing a perfect fit and optimal function. Some piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide coating applied through screen printing, which further reduces friction, enhancing both performance and longevity.
This piston kit is designed for use with Athena and Original Equipment cylinders and includes high-quality piston rings produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride). These rings minimize friction with the cylinder liner, leading to higher performance and increased durability. The rings are designed to perfectly adapt to the cylinder liner, even at low tangential loads.
Each piston is meticulously engineered and rigorously tested on dynamometer benches and on the track to validate its performance under extreme conditions. This kit contains all necessary components for installation: the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. All parts are replaceable and interchangeable.
