Utilizing high-grade Low-Ex (low expansion) aluminium alloys, these pistons are manufactured through advanced gravity casting or hydraulic forging processes. Every unit undergoes precision heat treatment to refine the material structure, ensuring optimal strength and reliability for demanding engine environments.\n\n### Advanced Manufacturing and Design\n\nVertex employs cutting-edge CNC machining and diamond tooling to achieve precise tolerances and specific surface finishes tailored to high-performance applications. To maximize longevity and efficiency, each piston features a specialized Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating, which reduces internal friction and assists during the critical break-in period.\n\n### Durable Phosphate Coating\n\nFollowing modern developments in Formula One technology, this piston incorporates a high-durability Phosphate coating. This treatment offers a slight increase in surface hardness and creates a light surface porosity, which significantly improves the adhesion of the Molybdenum coating. This dual-layer approach effectively doubles the durability of the piston surface, allowing it to withstand rigorous use.\n\n### Key Features\n\n \n- Size: 53.98mm diameter\n \n- Material: Silicon-charged Low-Ex aluminium alloy\n \n- Design: Single-ring race specification\n \n- Advanced Coating: Molybdenum Bisulphite with Phosphate base for superior wear resistance\n \n- Precision Engineering: CNC machined with diamond tooling for exact tolerances\n \n- Quality Assurance: Rigorous manual and automatic quality control inspections","weightGrams":null,"fitments":[],"collections":[],"links":{"page":"https://www.2brosparts.com/products/kawasaki-kx-125-2001-2008-grade-d-5398mm-single-ring-race-piston","buyOneNow":null,"basketWithThis":null}},"market":{"country":"GB","countryName":"United Kingdom","locale":"en-gb","currency":"GBP","exchangeRateFromGbp":1,"pricesIncludeUkVat":true,"checkoutTax":null,"delivery":[{"name":"Standard","description":"Orders £15.00–£59.99 · 2–4 business days","carrier":null,"estimatedDays":"2–4 business days","price":{"amount":4.99,"formatted":"£4.99"},"free":false,"minimumOrder":{"amount":0,"formatted":"£0.00","gbp":0},"weightGrams":null},{"name":"Standard","description":"Orders £60.00 and up · 2–4 business days","carrier":null,"estimatedDays":"2–4 business days","price":{"amount":0,"formatted":"£0.00"},"free":true,"minimumOrder":{"amount":60,"formatted":"£60.00","gbp":60},"weightGrams":null}],"storeUrl":"https://www.2brosparts.com"},"navigate":{"start":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent","search":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/search/GB/{words+joined+with+plus}"},"howToBuy":{"summary":"Build a basket for the shopper and give them one checkout link.
