Proper pressure testing is crucial for maintaining optimal engine performance and preventing damage. Air leaks can lead to a lean fuel-air mixture, causing engine overheating, piston seizure, and detonation.\n\n**Key Features:**\n\n \n- Detects air leaks in 2-stroke engines.\n \n- Includes an air pressure gauge and pump-up bulb.\n \n- Comes with various fittings and adaptors suitable for most single and twin-cylinder 2-stroke motorcycle engines.\n \n- Intake adaptors available in sizes: 35mm, 41mm, 43mm, and 46mm.\n \n- Expandable rubber exhaust port plugs fit round ports from 35mm to 60mm in diameter.\n \n- Conveniently packed in a carry box with detailed instructions.\n \n- Made in the USA.\n\n**Important Safety Note:** Always wear eye protection to prevent injury from escaping gas or flying particles. It is recommended that this procedure be performed by a qualified mechanic in a properly equipped shop.\n\n**Testing Procedure Highlights:**\n\n \n- Ensure cylinder, head, reed cage, intake manifold, and spark plug are installed and torqued correctly. Remove exhaust pipe and carburetor.\n \n- Seal exhaust ports using appropriate rubber expansion plugs or metal plates.\n \n- Insert the correct carburetor adaptor into the intake manifold.\n \n- Pump air pressure into the engine to 6 PSI. Never exceed 8 PSI.\n \n- If pressure is lost, use soapy water to locate leaks and repair as needed. A leakage rate of 1 PSI per minute is acceptable; lower rates yield better performance.\n \n- Listen for leaks at various points, including crankcase seals and power valve areas.","weightGrams":null,"fitments":[],"collections":[{"name":"Workshop Tools & Equipment","url":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/collection/GB/workshop-tools-equipment"},{"name":"Engine Tools","url":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/collection/GB/engine-tools"}],"links":{"page":"https://www.2brosparts.com/products/crankcase-pressure-leak-down-tester-2-stroke-motion-pro-08-0071","buyOneNow":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/checkout/GB/65b12027f080:1","basketWithThis":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/basket/GB/65b12027f080:1"}},"market":{"country":"GB","countryName":"United Kingdom","locale":"en-gb","currency":"GBP","exchangeRateFromGbp":1,"pricesIncludeUkVat":true,"checkoutTax":null,"delivery":[{"name":"Standard","description":"Orders £15.00–£59.99 · 2–4 business days","carrier":null,"estimatedDays":"2–4 business days","price":{"amount":4.99,"formatted":"£4.99"},"free":false,"minimumOrder":{"amount":0,"formatted":"£0.00","gbp":0},"weightGrams":null},{"name":"Standard","description":"Orders £60.00 and up · 2–4 business days","carrier":null,"estimatedDays":"2–4 business days","price":{"amount":0,"formatted":"£0.00"},"free":true,"minimumOrder":{"amount":60,"formatted":"£60.00","gbp":60},"weightGrams":null}],"storeUrl":"https://www.2brosparts.com"},"navigate":{"start":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent","search":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/search/GB/{words+joined+with+plus}"},"howToBuy":{"summary":"Build a basket for the shopper and give them one checkout link.
