Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by a hi-tech heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software, with diamond tools achieving specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. Designed for high-stress environments, this piston utilizes advanced metallurgical processes to ensure strength, durability, and a perfect fit for a 64.95mm cylinder bore.\n\nVertex manufactures these components using specialized Low-Ex (low expansion) silicon-charged aluminium alloys. This material choice, combined with either gravity casting or hydraulic forging, creates a robust foundation that is further refined through an automated, high-tech heat treatment process. This ensures maximum structural integrity and thermal stability during intense engine operation.\n\n### Key Features and Engineering\n\n \n- Advanced Alloy Composition: Manufactured with silicon-charged aluminium alloys for reduced expansion and increased heat resistance.\n \n- Precision Machining: Produced using state-of-the-art CNC technology and diamond tooling for exact tolerances and superior surface finishes.\n \n- Dual-Layer Coating Technology: Features a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to reduce friction and assist in the initial break-in period.\n \n- Enhanced Durability: Incorporates an all-over Phosphate coating, inspired by Formula One developments, which increases surface hardness and improves the adhesion of the Molybdenum layer for significantly longer wear life.\n \n- Rigorous Quality Control: Each piston undergoes comprehensive manual and automatic inspection to meet the highest standards of manufacturing excellence.\n\nWhether you are performing a standard top-end rebuild or seeking a reliable high-performance replacement, the Vertex 64.95mm Grade E piston offers the durability and precision required to keep your machine running at its best.","weightGrams":null,"fitments":[],"collections":[],"links":{"page":"https://www.2brosparts.com/products/yamaha-banshee-350-atv-1987-2006-grade-e-6495mm","buyOneNow":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/checkout/GB/3edd7804b7e4:1","basketWithThis":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/basket/GB/3edd7804b7e4:1"}},"market":{"country":"GB","countryName":"United Kingdom","locale":"en-gb","currency":"GBP","exchangeRateFromGbp":1,"pricesIncludeUkVat":true,"checkoutTax":null,"delivery":[{"name":"Standard","description":"Orders £15.00–£59.99 · 2–4 business days","carrier":null,"estimatedDays":"2–4 business days","price":{"amount":4.99,"formatted":"£4.99"},"free":false,"minimumOrder":{"amount":0,"formatted":"£0.00","gbp":0},"weightGrams":null},{"name":"Standard","description":"Orders £60.00 and up · 2–4 business days","carrier":null,"estimatedDays":"2–4 business days","price":{"amount":0,"formatted":"£0.00"},"free":true,"minimumOrder":{"amount":60,"formatted":"£60.00","gbp":60},"weightGrams":null}],"storeUrl":"https://www.2brosparts.com"},"navigate":{"start":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent","search":"https://www.2brosparts.com/api/agent/search/GB/{words+joined+with+plus}"},"howToBuy":{"summary":"Build a basket for the shopper and give them one checkout link.
