Pistons are made using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic implant with solubilization by quenching in hot water. Machining is done using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction, and a newer Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, surface porosity, and superior adhesion, doubling the coating durability. This is a single ring replica piston, 1.00mm oversize with a diameter of 54.95mm.","attributes":[],"image":"https://www.twsgb.co.uk/Graphics/Std_Product_Images/honda-cr-125-2000-2003-grade-a-53..92mm-single-ring-race-piston-1549-p.jpg","images":["https://www.twsgb.co.uk/Graphics/Std_Product_Images/honda-cr-125-2000-2003-grade-a-53..92mm-single-ring-race-piston-1549-p.jpg"],"description":"Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys, which are silicon-charged at 12%, 18%, or 21% depending on the application.
